Current number one in the leaderboards, Simona Halep will be facing Kiki Bertens at the Cincinnati final.
Simona, defeated Arina Sabalenka at the semi-finals with 6 : 3, 6 : 4, whereas Kiki won against Petra Kvitova with 6 : 3, 4 : 6, 2 : 6.
After the game against Sabalenka, Simona admitted that she had a pretty hard time dealing with her serving. In the end the only thing that helped her win was “not giving up”.
“It was a tough match. She was serving big – it was 110mph every time.”
“I was pretty strong and I just wanted to make her move as much as possible. I think I won this match because I was fighting until the end.”
So far, Halep has two lost finals at the Cincinnati tournament. However, she won the Rodgers Cup in Montreal last week, so maybe this means she came here to win.
“I know it is going to be a big challenge in the final”
